Christopher Carithers is an alt-country/americana songwriter from the coal regions of Eastern Pennsylvania, now living and teaching in Lycoming County. Chris performs his own roots-rock inspired original songs, accompanying his lyrical compositions on the acoustic guitar.
Chris, a veteran musician, has lent his lead guitar and harmony vocals to acts across the area, including rock bands, improvisational “jam†bands, outlaw country bands, and, most recently, to a traditional instrumental trio playing authentic arrangements of timeless folk tunes.
Chris is often accompanied by a rotating line-up of fellow travelers– old friends on acoustic instruments such as the mandolin, banjo, string bass, and violin.
